Popular media personality Daddy Freeze has publicly acknowledged his friendship with convicted fraudster Hushpuppi, real name Ramon Abbas. This admission comes years after Hushpuppi’s 2020 arrest and subsequent conviction for internet fraud in the United States.

Previously, Daddy Freeze faced criticism for videos he shared in 2019 showcasing his visit to Hushpuppi’s extravagant Dubai home. While initially claiming he was unaware of Hushpuppi’s criminal activities and saw him as an influencer, Freeze has now offered a more nuanced explanation.

In a recent video shared by Tunde Ednut, Daddy Freeze admitted to suspecting Hushpuppi’s wealth was not legitimate. However, he emphasized that Hushpuppi offered him friendship during a period of social isolation. “Hushpuppi gave me friendship when nobody wanted to be my friend,” he stated, recalling a time when he felt rejected by his church and fellow influencers. He defended his continued association with Hushpuppi, citing the “dey for who dey for you” sentiment.
