Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang has cautioned his fellow actors against joining street demonstrations. He believes that their talents would be better utilized by portraying protest scenes in films.

In an interview with 3FM, the “Yolo” actor emphasized that it is not advisable for actors to participate in real-life protests. He suggested that they could effectively convey their messages through the stories they tell on screen.

Anang’s remarks come in the wake of recent calls for celebrities to join the #OccupyJulorbiHouse and #FreeTheCitizens protests. These demonstrations were sparked by concerns over illegal mining and economic mismanagement.

During the protests, clashes erupted between demonstrators and the police, leading to arrests. The protesters have since been charged with various offenses, including unlawful assembly and assault on public officers.
