British R&B star Craig David has revealed his admiration for Nigerian Afrobeats artist Tiwa Savage, describing their collaboration on his new song “Commitment” as a testament to her talent and graciousness.

David, a self-proclaimed “long-time big fan” of Savage, praised her contributions to Afrobeats and her “consistent” and “amazing” vocals. He recounted how the collaboration came about organically, with his team unanimously suggesting Savage as a feature artist. “We were all in the studio, brainstorming, and someone said, ‘What about Tiwa Savage?’ I was like, ‘What about Tiwa? That is a great idea!’” he shared.
