Odumodublvck Alleges “Stream Farming” Rife in Nigerian Music.

Rapper Odumodublvck has ignited a debate within the Nigerian music industry by claiming that “stream farming” is rampant. He suggests that many artists are manipulating streaming numbers, but these inflated figures don’t translate into real-world success like concert bookings and ticket sales.
“There’s a high level of stream farming going on in the Nigerian music industry,” Odumodublvck wrote on X. “Farming is crazy cause it’s not translating into shows. It’s not translating into bookings and ticket sales home and abroad. So, what’s the point?”
This accusation follows similar claims by rapper Blaqbonez, who has repeatedly alleged stream manipulation, particularly on Apple Music Nigeria charts. However, music executive Don Jazzy has previously dismissed the existence of streaming farms, claiming they don’t exist.
Despite Don Jazzy’s denial, the topic of stream manipulation continues to surface, raising questions about the authenticity of streaming numbers and their correlation with an artist’s true popularity.
