BBNaija Lockdown champion Olamilekan Agbeleshe, popularly known as Laycon, has shared a personal anecdote about a challenging period in his life, revealing that he once resorted to using toilet water to soak garri. The musician, who gained fame through his participation in the Big Brother Naija reality show, took to his official Twitter page to recount this difficult experience from his time at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in 2013.

Laycon explained that during a weekend when he was alone in his hostel at Shodeinde, he faced severe hunger and decided to use the toilet water from the hostel’s tap to drink garri without sugar. Describing the depth of his struggle, Laycon expressed, “I wasn’t hungry o, I was starving. So I soaked Garri with no sugar and used toilet tap water to drink it… as I Dey soak the garri, water dey commot for my eyes.”
