Nigerian dancer Korra Obidi has vehemently denied her estranged husband, Justin Dean claims that a recent attack on her was staged for publicity.

Earlier this week, Obidi took to Instagram Live to reveal she had been assaulted with a knife and acid. Following the incident, Dean sparked controversy with a social media post seemingly suggesting celebrities fabricate incidents for attention.

Responding directly to the speculation, Obidi addressed her followers in a separate video message. She emphasized that she “escaped with the best possible scenario” and categorically denied staging the attack for “clout.”

“There are artists who have done things like this in the past,” Obidi acknowledged, “but I promise you I’m not one of them.”

She went on to express her desire to simply focus on her music and dance career. Obidi also emphasized the seriousness of the assault, stating, “I had acid thrown on my face… I’m glad this was live, and there is ample evidence.”
