E-Money Steps Up to Raise Late Actor Junior Pope’s Children.
In a touching display of compassion, Nigerian businessman Emeka Okonkwo, better known as E-Money, has pledged to care for the children of Nollywood actor Junior Pope. The tragic passing of Junior Pope in a boat accident left a void in the Nigerian film industry and a heavy burden on his family.
E-Money, a friend of the late actor, revealed a particularly poignant detail – Junior Pope’s final words expressed his worry about his three sons’ future. Deeply moved by this, E-Money has stepped forward, honoring Junior Pope’s final wish by taking responsibility for the children’s well-being.
Taking to his Instagram page, E-Money shared a heartfelt message offering condolences and a solemn promise. He reassured the children that they are not alone.
On his Instagram page, E-money wrote: “It has been one week since you departed from this world, leaving behind a profound sense of loss that reverberates not only among us but also across Africa and beyond.
He wrote “Your presence, as both a friend and a brother, is deeply missed, JP. The weight of your absence bears heavily upon our hearts, yet we draw comfort from the belief that God will grant us the resilience to carry forward and uphold the legacy you’ve entrusted to us.
“We tenderly remember your final words on the boat, ‘Na only me dem born, I get 3 children na me go raise them,’ and we solemnly commit to honoring that vow.
“Your children now find solace in the embrace of the Okonkwo family, and we, as members of that family, pledge to nurture them as you would have wished. Your absence leaves a palpable void, JP, and your memory will forever be held dear. Rest peacefully, knowing that you are deeply cherished, and may God’s blessings encompass your soul, your family, and all who hold you in their hearts.”
E-Money, along with his family, vowed to welcome them into the Okonkwo household and raise them with the love and care Junior Pope would have provided. This act of generosity ensures the children will have a secure future and a chance to flourish, even in the face of this immense loss.
