Veteran musician Nana Acheampong couldn’t hold back his emotions when his daughter Gyakie shared news of performing in Nigeria. In a recent interview, Acheampong described his reaction as “tears of joy,” overflowing with pride for Gyakie’s achievements in the music industry.

He applauded not only her growth as a musician but also her songwriting abilities. Acheampong revealed he began training Gyakie in music at the young age of five, and her dedication has certainly paid off.

“Seeing her progress in the industry fills me with excitement,” Acheampong said. “The first time she told me about performing in Nigeria, I cried. Tears of joy, of course. I never thought God would bless my daughter like this. I am incredibly proud of her.”

The interview also hinted at a future collaboration between the father-daughter duo. When asked about the possibility of a song together, Acheampong responded with a promising, “People should expect a song from us. We’ve already planned it.”

Gyakie, known for hits like “Scar” and “Forever,” is clearly making waves in the music scene, much to the delight of her biggest supporter – her father.
