Yearnings of a Heart 

Heart perhaps a decanter 
Filled unto the brim
With emotions and hopes dim
When happy it sometimes cry
When sad it craves to die
Yen to be loved
And when it’s gone
It feels it can no more go on.
Then comes the emotional drain
Dreams all go vain.
Yet it keep on crooning for them
Await for them to come back again.
Alike a heavy heart of a lost lover
Or of a parent in an old folk’s enclosure 
The heart keeps on aspiring often 
For the souls who just came, stayed and then solitude reigns
