Nollywood veteran Kate Henshaw has broken her silence, confirming the heartbreaking news of her mother’s demise on March 1, 2024. 

In a poignant Instagram post, the actress expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, stating, “Your prayers mean the world to me during this difficult time. Please keep my family in your thoughts. Rest in peace, Mummy. Love. Kate Henshaw.”

The announcement follows the recent revelation by Emeka Rollas, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), who shared the sorrowful news on March 2, 2024. In his official Instagram post, Rollas lamented, “Sad Day for Actors Guild of Nigeria. Kate Henshaw lost her mother earlier today and Mr Ibu suffered cardiac arrest.” He sadly confirmed the passing of Mr Ibu, expressing condolences, “May his soul rest in peace.”

Nollywood fans and colleagues rushed to Kate Henshaw’s Instagram, offering heartfelt condolences. Susan Peters conveyed her sympathy, saying, “Sending you love sis, May God strengthen your family at this time. And May her gentle soul rest with the angels.” Uche Ogbodo added her condolences, saying, “God Abeg oooo! So sorry sis 😢😢😢 pls take heart.”
