How will the Afro-German community vote at the next upcoming election on the 26th September 2021? Is a question that feels like not many people are taking seriously. It doesn’t look like people in the Afro-community are taking this election circles seriously, nor do we know the value of our vote for our place and well being in Germany, and as such the push for our vote has not been that coveted by the candidates representing the various political parties.

Where is the disconnect here? We are living in Germany and are exposed to the knowledge of the power of our votes, why are we not wilding it? Who are the candidates representing our community in the next election? How are they going about reaching out to the Afro-communities and educating us about the importance of our vote? And are they working with the numerous Afro media and bloggers here in Germany? 

We should seek information and understand the manifestos of all the political parties and their candidates, to give us insight into their agenda and how they intend to affect our community, so as to enable us to properly determine how we use our votes.
