Ghanaian Actress Habiba Sinare Calls for Youth Accountability in Pursuing Meaningful Careers.

Habiba Sinare, a prominent actress from Ghana, recently highlighted the challenges facing the country’s youth, citing a lack of diligence as a significant hurdle. She expressed concern that many young Ghanaians are more focused on social media trends than on pursuing impactful career paths.

Speaking on the United Showbiz program aired on UTV, Sinare emphasized that the responsibility for addressing these issues does not solely lie with the government under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. While acknowledging government efforts, she urged young people to take greater ownership of their lives and aspirations.

“There is no way anyone will take the youth of Ghana seriously. We have sold our future and are more concerned about our online presence. Some people are pushing, but the youth of Ghana are not pushing. Just a few people are serious,” Sinare remarked during her appearance.

Addressing the tendency to blame the government for employment challenges, Sinare questioned the readiness of some youth even if job opportunities were provided. She urged a shift towards self-reliance and cautioned against excessive reliance on external solutions.

“If the president provides jobs for the youth, some of us will still be lazy. We are too comfortable and always blaming the government. Do you want the president to give you money? We should stand up for ourselves and stop insulting people when they express their views on certain issues,” she concluded.

Sinare’s comments underscore a growing sentiment among Ghanaian figures that personal accountability and determination are crucial factors in navigating youth challenges and shaping a more purpose-driven future.
