The controversial actor Yul Edochie has declared that Judy Austin, his “second wife,” is not his spouse.

In response to a lawsuit brought by his ex-wife, May Edochie, against him, he issued this declaration.

May Edochie sought for divorce after accusing her husband of adultery.

Yul stated in court that the basis of his relationship with Judy Austin was skit-making.

He declared that their union is not recognised by the law.

According to a report by Premium Times, Yul and Judy claimed credit for the unexpected setback that occurred in the ongoing case at the FCT High Court in Abuja, which was scheduled for a hearing on March 5. May’s legal team, led by Emeka Ugwuonye of Due Process Advocates, said in a statement.

According to Ugwuonye, Yul wrote in his petition, “That ever since the news of Star’s birth in June 2021, Gistlover—a negative blog that feeds on false information and manipulation for financial advantage—has been abusing every film or sketch that stars Judy and me and driving social media traffic for financial gain.

He stated that an alleged traditional marriage ceremony between Yul and Judy on April 24, 2022, in Anambra State, was referenced in May’s plea.

Yul, however, denied the allegation and charged that a blog site was disseminating false material in order to make money.
