Popular Nigerian musician Omah Lay expressed surprise after his colleague Davido showed appreciation for his music.

In a recent social media post, Omah Lay, known for his hit song “Soso,” revealed he previously believed Davido, the founder of DMW record label (also known as OBO), disliked him. This comes after a video emerged showing Davido playing Omah Lay’s music while driving American internet personality Kai Cenat around Lagos.

Omah Lay’s post on the social media platform X stated, “I’ve always thought OBO hated me!” This public display of support marks the first time Davido has been seen actively promoting Omah Lay’s music.

It’s worth noting that Omah Lay remains one of the few rising Nigerian artists yet to collaborate with the influential Davido.
