Ruger Makes Pointed Statements About Leaving Former Label Jonzing World.

Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, known professionally as Ruger, has shed light on his reasons for departing his former record label, Jonzing World.

In a series of social media posts on Thursday, Ruger expressed appreciation for Jonzing World launching his career but made clear his decision not to renew his contract. He implied the label wasn’t prioritizing his career development as much as he desired.

Ruger specifically mentioned feeling a lack of support and transparency from the label, suggesting they may have focused on promoting newer artists while neglecting his promotional needs. These are serious accusations, but his specific wording about “hunting for new talents” is vague.

The singer also hinted at having more to reveal but expressed fear of retaliation, using a veiled threat referencing a location known for violence.

It’s important to note that these are Ruger’s one-sided claims. Jonzing World has yet to respond to his accusations.

Ruger announced his departure from Jonzing World in February 2024, citing a desire to pursue his career independently. While this recent social media outburst provides his perspective, the situation remains one-sided until a response from Jonzing World emerges.
