Megan Thee Stallion is facing legal trouble after her former cameraman, Emilio Garcia, filed a lawsuit against her and Roc Nation on Tuesday. Garcia accuses the rapper of creating a hostile work environment and subjecting him to sexual harassment during a tour stop in Spain.

The lawsuit centers around a disturbing allegation. Garcia claims that he was trapped inside a moving car while Megan and another woman engaged in sexual activity. He further alleges that after the incident, which reportedly occurred near Ibiza in June 2022, Megan threatened him to keep quiet and subjected him to derogatory comments about his weight.

Garcia’s lawsuit goes beyond the alleged harassment. He claims that in the months following the incident, he was switched from a steady monthly salary to a per-assignment basis and saw a significant decrease in work opportunities with Megan. He was ultimately fired in June 2023.

The lawsuit also tackles alleged labor violations. Garcia claims that Megan and Roc Nation failed to properly compensate him for the various tasks he performed as her personal cameraman, including demands to work on her social media content outside of scheduled hours. Despite his status as an independent contractor, Garcia argues he was essentially treated as an employee, even being restricted from taking on work with other clients.

Adding another layer to the story, Garcia is represented by the same legal team behind a similar high-profile case against singer Lizzo. That lawsuit, filed earlier this year, also included allegations of a hostile work environment and witnessing sexual acts during a European tour.

Representatives for Megan Thee Stallion and Roc Nation have not yet responded to the lawsuit.
