Nigerian entrepreneur and socialite Chioma Goodhair has revealed that Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo was initially hesitant about her daughter Priscilla Ojo’s relationship with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux. Priscilla and Juma recently celebrated their union with a lavish traditional and white wedding.

Chioma, a close friend of Iyabo Ojo, shared insights on Instagram into the behind-the-scenes journey of the couple’s relationship gaining the matriarch’s approval. According to Chioma, while Priscilla and Juma’s connection was “love at first sight,” convincing Iyabo Ojo to accept a prominent Tanzanian artist dating her only daughter and “prized possession” was a significant undertaking.

“It was one thing encouraging @its.priscy and @juma_jux on their love at first site quest but it was a whole other thing convincing Queen Mother to allow a big time Tanzanian Artist date her only daughter and prized possession Priscy,” Chioma recounted. She detailed the efforts she made, including a lengthy walk in London, to persuade Iyabo, who would subsequently express concerns based on gossip blogs. Chioma assured her friend of the inaccuracy of such rumors.

Ultimately, Iyabo Ojo’s approval came with the condition that Juma Jux must be serious about marriage. Chioma stated that Juma had expressed his intention to marry Priscilla from the beginning. The wedding plans began surprisingly quickly, just three months after Priscilla and Juma became an official couple in August 2024, with Iyabo Ojo prophetically outlining the wedding details early on.
