Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has revealed that she chose to remarry despite objections from some family members, driven by her strong belief in love and marriage. The actress, who faced public backlash for her marriage to Kazim Adeoti in 2022, stated that she knew what she wanted and refused to be deterred.

Aigbe, who converted to Islam upon marrying Adeoti, disclosed that some family members questioned her decision, citing her age. However, she emphasized her personal desire for marriage and a “crown” (husband), stating, “I love love, actually.”

She dismissed the negative public reactions as “just noise,” specifically addressing claims that she turned her husband into a “dummy.” Aigbe argued that criticism often comes with success, stating, “When I was young, I never thought my life would turn out this way.” She maintains that she is content with her choices and focused on her own happiness.
