Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has denied reports that she fled Los Angeles due to the recent wildfires.  

In a series of Instagram posts, Omotola announced her arrival in Nigeria on January 9th, leading to speculation that she had evacuated due to the devastating fires.

However, in a subsequent statement, Omotola clarified that she had been in Nigeria since December 2024 and that her trip was unrelated to the wildfires.  

“I want to take a moment to address the incredible outpouring of concern and support I have received regarding the fires in Los Angeles. To set the record straight: My family and I are safe. However, I have seen reports suggesting that I had to leave the U.S. because of the fire. This is inaccurate. I have been in Nigeria since December 2024, and I’m still here presently,” she stated.

Omotola emphasized that while she is deeply concerned about the situation in Los Angeles, she was already in Nigeria before the wildfires began.
