KCCA Sets Million-Like Challenge for Chameleone Road Naming.

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has set a hefty challenge for fans of legendary musician Jose Chameleone before they consider naming a road after him. In response to a suggestion from photojournalist Francis Isano, KCCA has demanded that Isano’s tweet advocating for a “Joseph Mayanja Road” reach one million likes.
Isano has quickly rallied Chameleone’s supporters across East Africa and beyond to take on this ambitious task. However, as of Monday afternoon, the tweet had only garnered a fraction of the required likes.
Chameleone himself has long advocated for recognizing icons during their lifetimes. His 2010 hit song “Basima Ogenze” explores the theme of posthumous appreciation, highlighting the importance of acknowledging individuals’ contributions while they are still alive. In March of this year, Chameleone made a personal plea to his fans to honor him during his lifetime, emphasizing the impact he has made on the music industry.
