Phyno Denounces False Report Claiming Sale of N10bn Lagos Estate Due to Tribalism.

Nigerian rapper Phyno has vehemently denied a widely circulated report alleging that he sold his N10 billion estate in Lagos to a Libyan businessman due to tribal sentiments. The false report, attributed to a journalist on X (formerly Twitter), claimed Phyno stated it was a mistake to invest in Yoruba land, citing perceived unwelcomeness towards Igbo people.
The now-deleted tweet from the journalist, JustSociety4All, falsely quoted Phyno as saying, “The last election opened my eyes. The hatred towards Igbos is something that seems like it will last forever. Instead of building in Yoruba land, I’m relocating my estate to Enugu, where my people will make good use of it and it will remain safe for generations.”
Phyno swiftly responded to the fabricated story, labeling it a “lie” and questioning the journalist’s motives. “You are a fool for cooking up this type of lie!!! Where are you heading with this? Anwu nta,” the rapper wrote on his own X account, unequivocally distancing himself from the inflammatory and untrue statements.
