Kenyan musician Bahati has stated that he left the gospel music industry due to the prevalent insincerity among its members.

He claimed that even those considered spiritual within the industry lack genuine love for one another, questioning the lack of collaborations between artists like Guardian Angel and Mercy Masika.

He contrasted this environment with his own experience, claiming that when he faced challenges, he received no support from those in the gospel industry.

Previously, Size 8 had publicly acknowledged Bahati’s spiritual influence on her life, recounting how he had prophetically warned her about potential miscarriages and prayed for her to conceive despite health complications.

Bahati clarified that his decision to transition to secular music was guided by direct communication with God, rather than seeking approval from religious leaders. He emphasized that despite leaving the gospel music industry, his personal faith and relationship with God remain strong.
