Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has secured a lead role in the highly anticipated Hollywood adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s “Children of Blood and Bone.”
The Mavin Records artist will star alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Cynthia Erivo, Viola Davis, and Idris Elba in the Lucasfilm production, a fantasy epic set in an African kingdom. The film, based on the bestselling novel, tells the story of a young woman’s journey to restore her people’s stolen magic.
This marks a significant milestone in Ayra Starr’s rapidly ascending career, adding to her list of achievements, which includes becoming the first Nigerian woman to receive an RIAA Diamond single certification for her hit song “Santa.”
The movie, currently in production, is slated for a 2027 release, further solidifying Ayra Starr’s transition from music sensation to rising Hollywood star.
