Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has publicly voiced concerns for her safety and that of her young son, Liam. She claims to be receiving daily death threats and alleges direct attacks from her late husband’s former label boss, Naira Marley, and his associates.

In a recent interview, Omowunmi also accused her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, of attempting to seize control of Mohbad’s properties and making disparaging remarks about her son. “We no longer feel safe. I literally get death threats almost every day in my DMs,” she stated. “I have been attacked by Naira Marley and his cohorts. My father-in-law wants to be in control of Mohbad’s properties, or he will go all out to destroy my life.”

Omowunmi further detailed the strained relationship with her father-in-law, alleging that he has called her son a bastard and made unfounded claims about his appearance. She expressed her fear and frustration, stating that she feels compelled to speak out for her own protection.

Mohbad’s death in September 2023 remains shrouded in controversy, with fingers pointed at Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, due to their previous conflicts. While both were arrested and later released on bail, Omowunmi’s recent allegations have reignited the public’s interest in the circumstances surrounding the singer’s tragic passing.
