Popular Nigerian social media activist VeryDarkMan has fallen victim to cybercrime.

In a recent video, he revealed that his NGO’s website was hacked, resulting in the loss of ₦180 million.

“I’m at the airport. I’ll be honest with you guys. For the past few days, I’ve not been myself. I’m here with Officer Joe and we are going to Jos. Somebody hacked into the NGO website and I don’t know how they did it: 180 million is missing,” VeryDarkMan stated in the video.

Despite the setback, VeryDarkMan remains determined to recover the stolen funds. He announced that one of the hackers has been arrested and he is traveling to Jos with a security official to apprehend the remaining culprit.

“Thank God we have tracked the person and we are on our way to Jos. They’ve arrested one. I’m excited. An account has been put on PND. So, the account now has 20 million. 160 million has been diverted to another account. So, we are currently going there to see how I’ll get the money back,” he explained.
