Following the death of Martha Ahumuza, allegedly due to drink spiking, Ugandan socialite Bad Black has shared her own disturbing experiences with the dangerous practice. Through her Snapchat account, she recounted several incidents where she believes her drinks were spiked in bars, adding her voice to the growing concern about safety in nightlife venues.

Bad Black detailed an incident from last year at the Molecule bar, where she experienced blackouts and was unable to drive. She sought assistance from police officers at Jinja Police Station after a dinner with a friend and some Nigerian acquaintances took a frightening turn. “I was drugged at Molecule around September and couldn’t drive because I was blacking out,” she shared.

This was not an isolated incident. Bad Black also recalled a previous encounter with a man named Kim Swagga, who she alleges spiked her drink with malicious intent. These personal accounts highlight the prevalence of drink spiking and the urgent need for increased awareness and preventative measures.
