The Release of Russian Icons and What it mean for African Christians.

The Release of Russian Icons and What it mean for African Christians

The image of white Jesus has ensured the mental enslavement of Africans, and has caused immeasurable misery and damage to black people, it has been one of the major tools for enslavement of Africans, colonization and continual exploitation of the continent.

What changes now with the release of the Russian Icon by President Putin? What happens then with the images of white Jesus that have adorned black churches for ages, are they going to be exchanged for a black Jesus? Would the mentally enslaved wake up and unchain themselves and start asking questions “Why the lies?” Would African Pastors concern themselves with the release of the Russian Icon and seek the truth?

The Archbishop of Canterbury has openly said the white Jesus image needs to be re-evaluated, is he just playing to the gallery of the moment? What would be the position of the Catholic Church on the Russian Icon? What if the Catholic Church decides to emulate the Russian president and open its vault to the world?
