Snoop Dogg And Master P Takes Walmart To Court Over Case Of Food Sale Sabotage.

Snoop Dogg and Master P have taken legal action against Walmart and Post Foods, asserting that the retail giant and cereal company impeded the success of their Snoop Cereal. The renowned rappers, founders of Broadus Foods aiming to promote minority-owned food products, allege in a lawsuit that Post Foods initially offered to purchase their cereal brand but later hindered its distribution.

According to the complaint obtained by tabloids, Snoop Cereal enjoyed an immediate success upon its Walmart launch in July 2023. However, customer complaints surfaced, revealing a puzzling absence of the product on store shelves. The lawsuit contends that Walmart’s online and in-store systems inaccurately indicated the cereal as sold out, while boxes remained concealed in stockrooms.

The legal filing accuses Post Foods of collaborating with Walmart to ensure Snoop Cereal never reached the store shelves, leading to substantial losses and jeopardizing the agreed-upon profits for Snoop Dogg and Master P’s company. The complaint asserts that Snoop Cereal deserved placement alongside other Post-branded cereals on Walmart shelves and alleges a lack of support for their product.

In response, Walmart emphasized its commitment to supplier relationships and hinted at various factors influencing product sales. Post Consumer Brands expressed disappointment over consumer demand not meeting expectations despite significant investments. Broadus Foods seeks damages exceeding $50,000 and demands a jury trial in the ongoing dispute.
