Health Care: Africa Declared Free Of Wild Polio.

The African certificate commission declared Africa free of wild polio.

 Polio also known as poliomyelitis is a disabling and life threatening disease caused by  polivirus. The virus spreads from person to person and can infect a spinal chord which can lead to paralysis. It usually affects children under five, sometimes leading to irreversible paralysis where as death can occur when breathing muscles are affected.

However, these disease is now only found in Afghanistan and Pakistan, And the countries remain Endemic until polivirus transmission is interrupted, all countries remain at risk of importation of polio, especially vulnerable countries with weak public health and immunization service and even travel to trade link to endemic countries.
