Yemi Alade to Lend Voice to Nigerian Superhero Animation on Cartoon Network.

Popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, is set to contribute her musical prowess to the upcoming animated series, ‘Iyanu’. The singer made the exciting announcement on Saturday, revealing that she will be recording and performing the theme song for the much-anticipated superhero animation.
Alade expressed her enthusiasm for the project, sharing her excitement with fans on the series’ YouTube channel. ‘Iyanu’, an adaptation of the acclaimed graphic novel by Roye Okupe, is deeply rooted in Nigerian culture and mythology. The animated series is a collaborative effort between Lion Forge Entertainment, Alcon Sleeping Giant, and Femi Agunbiade, the series’ lead composer.
Scheduled for release in 2025, ‘Iyanu’ boasts a star-studded cast, including Serah Johnson in the titular role. The series will air on Cartoon Network and Max in the United States and on Showmax across 44 African countries.
This isn’t Alade’s first foray into the world of film soundtracks. The singer previously contributed to Beyoncé’s ‘Lion King: The Gift’ album.
