Nigerian superstar Davido has clarified his stance on drug abuse while announcing his plans to support a foundation dedicated to combating the issue.

During an appearance on The Morning Hustle podcast, Davido revealed that he intends to donate to organizations fighting drug addiction among youth. He acknowledged that some might perceive him as hypocritical for supporting this cause while also smoking weed.

However, Davido clarified his position, stating, “I don’t count weed as a hard drug. Some people are saying I smoke weed but I don’t count weed as a drug.”

Davido emphasized the seriousness of drug addiction and expressed his desire to contribute to efforts aimed at helping individuals overcome these challenges.
