Nigeria In Diaspora Organization Europe (NIDOE) Is Fragmented, Tribalism & Corruption At Play.

What a shame, that another Nigerian organization in Europe is failing, because of the same greed and irresponsibility that is eating up our country, which has traveled with its citizens abroad and it is manifesting over and over again in different Nigerian organizations.
NIDO is supposedly the gathering of Nigerian professionals outside the country, so the coming together of intellectuals, who probably studied in the best schools worldwide. Nigeria should benefit from their experience, expertise, and feedback, but what is there to gain? If some members of these organizations are exhibiting the same corrupt tendencies of Nigerian politicians back home, it seems that we have learned nothing from the working system and environment where we reside, after so many years of living in Europe.
Nigeria In Diaspora Organization Germany (NIDOG) is one of the many chapters of NIDOE going through internal turmoil and fragmentation along tribal lines, nepotism, and corrupt leadership ripped apart the German chapter along tribal lines, and the former president allegedly lied, manipulated, and conned his way through a shamble called an election or rather a selection, that produced an illegal all Yoruba officials in an organization that represents a country as diverse as Nigeria, with over two hundred and fifty tribes, and these have created a rift within members and friends in NIDOG.
The same tactics that were used to break Nigeria in Diaspora Organization Germany (NIDOG), which is being replicated currently in the umbrella organization, Nigeria In Diaspora Organization Europe (NIDOE). The problem is not just the corrupt leaders, but also the members who know better, who see the evil that is about to befall NIDOE, but choose not to take action or react too late, one thing is clear of a typical Nigerian which is being exhibited here, we are mostly reactionary and not pro-active, we have generally refused to confront our corrupt leaders, as they are about to or in the process of breaking the rules of our organizations, just to maintain our friendship or connection with such corrupt leaders, who at the end would oppress us, and then we want to react when the damage is done, this is the on-going case with Nigeria In Diaspora Organization Europe (NIDOE).
Sometimes I question if these matters have reached Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM). Is she aware of the situation of the organization she represents in the presidency? If yes, what are the measures she has employed to address the problem? Is she concerned or is this neglect on her part?
It is a pity and it is disheartening that we are gradually witnessing the disintegration of a very important Nigerian organization, which is supposed to be very useful to the diaspora and our country, especially at this time and moment that Nigeria and its citizens are going through hard economic times, these are good reasons why every Nigerian should be concerned.
