Ghanaian rapper Medikal has announced a significant shift in his music career, declaring that he will not be featuring on any other artist’s songs in 2025.

In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Medikal explained that the upcoming year will be dedicated solely to his own music and career growth. “From next year, I won’t be doing features. It will be a selfish year for me because this year I did a lot of features, a couple of them,” he stated.

The rapper also revealed that he typically does not charge for collaborations, often agreeing to features based on personal connections and artistic synergy. “I don’t charge for features; unless you’re someone who wants to offer something. Most of the artists who approached me, I didn’t charge them,” he added.

Medikal is currently on a media tour to promote his upcoming concert, “Beyond Kontrol,” scheduled to take place at Ghud Park at Accra Mall on December 26th, 2024.
