Ghanaian musician Sefa has expressed optimism for the future after parting ways with her former record label, Black Avenue Muzik.

In an interview, Sefa acknowledged that 2024 presented its challenges, including her departure from the label. “2024 for me has been challenging and very thoughtful, I have learned a lot of things. But at the end of the day, it has taught me to grow, believe in myself, and work harder… I always say that leaving a record label doesn’t mean your career is done. Because you are the artiste and you are the talent and anywhere there is a talent and there are a lot of people who understand the art, with God all things are possible. So in 2025, I am praying God continues to bless us,” she stated.

She emphasized that leaving Black Avenue Muzik, while difficult, has been a valuable lesson. “I parted ways with my record label so now I am an independent artiste and everybody knows in Ghana that to leave a label and be an independent artiste is not easy but that is one lesson 2024 has taught me,” she said.

Sefa rose to prominence under Black Avenue Muzik, winning the Afrobeats Song of the Year award at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for her hit song “E Choke.” Despite this success, she is now embarking on a new chapter as an independent artist, demonstrating her determination to continue her musical journey on her own terms.
