Tyla Condemns Bullying of Miss SA Finalist, as Miss Universe Nigeria Extends Invitation to Her.

South African singer Tyla has thrown her weight behind Miss South Africa finalist, Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, who recently withdrew from the pageant amid a nationality controversy. Adetshina, a model with Nigerian and Mozambican heritage, faced intense public scrutiny after advancing to the Top 16 of the competition.

The situation escalated when the South African Department of Home Affairs raised allegations of fraud and identity theft against Adetshina’s mother. Despite making it to the Top 11, the young woman was forced to pull out of the pageant.

Dismayed by the treatment meted out to Adetshina, Tyla publicly condemned the bullying the model faced. The Grammy-winning artist expressed her disappointment on social media, stating that Adetshina was unfairly forced out of the competition. While affirming her support for South Africa, Tyla emphasized her zero-tolerance stance on bullying.

Amidst the controversy, Miss Universe Nigeria has offered Adetshina a platform to compete in their pageant. However, the model is yet to respond to the invitation.
