Darkoo Accuses P Square’s Peter Okoye of Sabotaging Her New Single.
Singer Darkoo has publicly accused Peter Okoye, one half of the P-Square duo, of orchestrating the takedown of her new single’s music video on YouTube. The song, titled “Focus On Me,” was released on January 2, 2024, and was subsequently removed due to alleged copyright infringement.
In a post on her X account, Darkoo claimed that Okoye, also known as Mr. P, acted out of spite after she declined his request to be featured on the track. She stated that despite offering him a spot on a remix, Okoye was not appeased and proceeded to sabotage the song’s release.
Darkoo explained, “My music video was taken down for 6 days by Peter of P-SQUARE in an attempt to completely sabotage the song. I have all the necessary clearance for the sample.” She further alleged that Okoye had created his own verse for the song and instructed her not to communicate with his brothers, Paul and Jude Okoye.
According to Darkoo, “Mr P completely switched on me as soon as the song dropped. He started causing problems because he want to be featured on the track. Even when I wanted him to be on the remix; but that wasn’t enough for him. Instead; he chose to act out of anger and try to sabotage it because I didn’t bow to his demands. It is sad and disappointing.”
As of this report, Peter Okoye has not yet responded to the allegations. This incident marks another instance of controversy surrounding Okoye, following previous disputes with his twin brother, Paul, and their older brother, Jude.
