Former NMG Journalist Nasibo Kabale Receiving Treatment for Mental Health Challenges.
A recent viral video of former Nation Media Group (NMG) Kenyan journalist Nasibo Kabale living on the streets has sparked widespread concern and sympathy. However, comedian Eric Omondi has assured the public that Kabale is receiving neccessary help and is currently in rehab.
Kabale, who battled mental health issues after leaving her job due to the stress of covering the COVID-19 pandemic, has been struggling to cope with the weight of her experiences. Despite receiving a prestigious Presidential Award in 2020, she spiraled into depression and homelessness.
Omondi, who visited Kabale’s family, confirmed that her brother have flown her to a rehabilitation facility. He also shared insights from Kabale’s mother, who explained the challenges her daughter has been facing.
The public’s outpouring of support for Kabale has highlighted the need for increased mental health awareness and support in Kenya, especially for individuals in high-stress professions. As Kabale continues her journey towards recovery, it is hoped that her story will inspire others to seek help and break the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
