Joeboy Sheds Light on Domestic Violence with Hit Song ‘Better’.
Popular singer Joseph Akinfenwaa Donus, known as Joeboy, has revealed the inspiration behind his acclaimed track ‘Better.’ In a recent interview with media personality Vivz, Joeboy explained that the song was written to highlight the issue of domestic violence against women in African society.
Joeboy noted that women often face mistreatment and abuse, and he aimed to address these issues through his music. “It’s something that happens a lot in African society; domestic abuse. Sometimes women are maltreated and not treated properly. I wanted to shed light on domestic violence against women,” he said.
During the interview, Vivz praised the song, stating, “‘Better’ is my favourite song ever. In that song, it’s like you’re speaking up for a woman that has been treated badly by another man.”
