Zimbabwean comedian Q Dube (real name Nqobizitha Mitchel Dube) recounted a harrowing experience during a recent appearance on “That Zed Podcast.” Dube, who performed at the 2022 Africa Laughs comedy show organized by Patrick Salvador Idringi in Uganda, revealed he was almost kidnapped by a woman he met at an after-party.

Dube described the woman’s initial attentiveness as “too good to be true,” and detailed how her increasingly physical actions clouded his judgment. Fortunately, before leaving the bar with the woman, Dube informed Idringi’s bodyguard. The bodyguard, recognizing a potential threat, alerted Idringi who intervened and stopped Dube from entering the woman’s car.

Dube expressed his gratitude to Idringi for his quick thinking, acknowledging that the woman could have intended to harm or rob him. The comedian also shared his experience performing for a tough Ugandan audience during the Africa Laughs show.
