Jada Pollock, talent manager and mother of two of Wizkid’s children, has spoken out against the media’s persistent portrayal of her solely as “Wizkid’s baby mama.”

In an interview with BET UK, Pollock expressed frustration over the lack of recognition for her own professional achievements. She recounted an instance where her statement celebrating Wizkid’s Grammy win was accompanied by the label “Wizkid’s baby mama,” diminishing her role as a successful entrepreneur and businesswoman.

“When Wizkid won a Grammy, I wrote a statement about how far Afrobeat has come. They published the statement, and the caption was “Wizkid baby mama.” The narrative does not recognize that you’re an entrepreneur and a hardworking businesswoman. I’m not only a mother but also a manager, and I’ve helped build a legacy,” she stated.

Pollock and Wizkid began their relationship in 2014, and they have two children together: Zion, born in 2017, and AJ, born in 2022.
