Kumbirai is the Founder of DeutschConnect a Consultancy that links Southern African businesses and people to the German business ecosystem through Mentorship, Matchmaking and Access to Market and Partnerships through working with different partners in the ecosystem.
With over ten years professional experience in the Entrepreneurship industry and African Startup ecosystem, Kumbirai is passionate about empowering young African entrepreneurs especially women. A versatile team player, an Expert networker, a strategic planner and social Impact advocate, he is a Pan African who believes in a united Africa. He is a firm believer in collaboration and creating business synergies.
Having worked for Zimbabwe Youth Council before being a Co Producer in the Zimbabwe television Entrepreneurship reality show, “ My Own Boss “ in 2013, Kumbirai CoFounded “ Zimbho “ in 2014 and “ SomethingMeaty “ in 2016 a pioneer online butchery. Since 2016, he has been in Germany where he is Ecosystems Manager for Afrolynk in which role he is in charge of Collaborations and Partnerships as well as overseeing the Factory24 Digital Learning Platform, and Founded Chipa Groceries an online Grocery service for Zimbabweans in the Diaspora.
Of Zimbabwean descent, Kumbirai studied BA ( Philosophy, Politics and Law ) at University of Kwazulu Natal, where he was involved with the International Students Union, he is a graduate of the leetHub Entrepreneurship Program ( Hamburg ) and is currently enrolled at the Berlin Startup Academy.
Kumbirai was one of the panelist at the “Afro-Bloggers Convention”
