  2. Obesity and Diabetes from Excessive Sugar Consumption
    What’s Happening: Sugar is everywhere in soft drinks, candies, baked goods, sauces, and even savory foods. High sugar consumption leads to rapid spikes in blood glucose levels, which can overwork the body’s insulin response and, over time, cause insulin resistance.
