PSquare Split Again: Rudeboy Confirms.
Popular twin music duo, PSquare, has once again disbanded. This is according to a recent confirmation by one-half of the group, Paul Okoye, better known as Rudeboy.
The announcement comes as a shock to fans as the brothers had reconciled and reunited in 2021 after a previous split in 2016. However, it appears the reunion was short-lived.
Rudeboy revealed in an interview that the initial plan was to release multiple hit albums together, but creative differences and unresolved issues led to the latest breakup. He also expressed frustration over being unfairly labeled as the “singer” while his brother, Peter Okoye (Mr P), was seen as the “dancer.”
According to Rudeboy, tensions escalated during the recording of their song “Eja Jo” featuring T.I., with criticisms about the duo’s sound emerging. Despite efforts to foster a collaborative environment and avoid past mistakes, the brothers ultimately couldn’t reconcile their differences.
The singer emphasized that he is now focused on his solo career as Rudeboy, revealing that Peter Okoye initiated the decision to end the group and declined to make a public announcement.
