The Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, is mourning the loss of actress Sharon Okpamen. The actress reportedly passed away weeks after welcoming a new baby.

A colleague and movie producer, Stanley Ontop, announced Okpamen’s death on his Instagram page on Saturday, August 24. While the exact cause of death was not disclosed, fans noticed that the actress had not posted on her own Instagram account since giving birth.

Many expressed their condolences and shock on social media, with one fan commenting that Okpamen had slipped into a coma after childbirth and did not recover.
