Ugandan singer Weasel Manizo is facing legal consequences following a physical altercation with promoter Norbert Twizire. The incident, which was captured on video, has sparked outrage and prompted the Uganda National Promoters Federation to take legal action against the musician.

According to the federation, Weasel assaulted Twizire during a heated argument, leaving the promoter injured. Juma Balunywa, a representative of the federation, criticized Weasel’s behavior, stating that violence is never a solution, especially when dealing with financial disputes.

“Even if it was about money, if someone owes you money, do you just go and beat him up?” Balunywa questioned. “Where does Weasel get the guts to beat up a promoter without even stopping to think of the years you spent eating grass, unable to make even one concert.”

In response to the allegations, Weasel has claimed that Twizire owes him money for a previous performance. However, Twizire has provided a detailed account of their financial arrangements,

stating that Weasel’s team has not fulfilled their part of the agreement.

The Ugandan National Promoters Federation has instructed its lawyer to initiate legal proceedings against Weasel. The federation aims to send a clear message that such behavior will not be tolerated and that musicians must respect promoters and adhere to contractual agreements.
