We write with hearts heavy with a grief that stretches beyond words. William Chedjou, a kind soul and a loving father of two, is gone. Stabbed in a senseless act of violence over a parking space, William bled out while bystanders watched. His family, his girlfriend, his young children, his parents, and his grandmother are left shattered.

The silence surrounding William’s death is deafening, especially from German media. Would the story be buried if William wasn’t Black? This disparity is a wound that cuts deep.

William was the heart of his family, the one who ensured their laughter wasn’t silenced by financial worries. Now, his absence leaves a gaping hole, not just in their hearts, but in their ability to survive.

Imagine the fear in his children’s eyes, the crushing weight of grief on his girlfriend’s shoulders. They deserve justice for William, and they desperately need your help.

We demand a thorough and unbiased investigation into William’s killing. Transparency is the first step towards healing. We implore German media to break this silence and give William the voice he deserves.
