South African Singer Babes Wodumo Demands Release of Late Husband Mamphintsha’s Music from Kabza De Small.
Gqom star Babes Wodumo has demanded access to her late husband Mamphintsha’s unreleased music. The Wololo hitmaker accused Amapiano star Kabza De Small of withholding songs recorded by Mamphintsha before his death. Babes Wodumo, known off-stage as Bongekile Simelane, insisted Kabza should either release the music or hand it over to her so she can release it herself.
Kabza De Small defended his actions, stating that he has many unreleased tracks and is waiting for the right time to release Mamphintsha’s songs. He reassured the music would eventually be made available.
The call-out comes just a week after Babes Wodumo performed at Westville Correctional Services in Durban, sparking another wave of public interest. Despite facing criticism, Babes Wodumo is determined to keep her husband’s legacy alive.
