The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has urged Nigerians to disregard circulating false rumors about the death of esteemed Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs. The guild’s spokesperson, Kate Henshaw, emphasized that Jacobs is very much alive and well, calling for an end to the recurrent hoaxes about his death.

Taking to social media platform X, Henshaw expressed her frustration with the persistent false reports, questioning why Nigerians repeatedly declare Jacobs dead. “How you people put up RIP posts about someone who is still alive, year in year out, is very sickening, Tbh,” she wrote. “You do this to this great man and his family all the time. It is all shades of wrong. Stop for goodness sake. UNCLE OLU JACOBS is ALIVE.”

The misleading reports, which recently claimed that the legendary actor passed away on Sunday, have been firmly denied by Jacobs’ family. They reassured the public that Olu Jacobs is alive, urging people to refrain from spreading such harmful misinformation.
