Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known by fans as Lil Win, was involved in a car accident on Saturday, May 25th, in Kumasi, Ghana, that tragically claimed the life of a three-year-old boy.

The accident occurred near the Grace Baptist Church in Amakom. Eyewitnesses reported that Lil Win’s vehicle collided with a Hyundai Santa Fe carrying the young boy after a traffic light turned green. The impact of the crash left both vehicles heavily damaged.

The young boy, whose identity has not been released, was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Hyundai Santa Fe, believed to be the boy’s father, is currently in critical condition at the hospital and receiving medical attention.

Lil Win himself sustained injuries in the accident and received treatment at the same hospital. He was later discharged and even appeared at the premiere of his movie that same evening, where he expressed gratitude for his survival.

The Ghana Police have yet to issue an official statement on the cause of the accident, but an investigation is underway. This tragedy has left the Kumawood community and Ghanaians in shock.
