A security guard working at Drake’s Toronto mansion was seriously injured in a drive-by shooting early Tuesday morning. The 48-year-old victim was found on the street outside the rapper’s residence in the upscale Bridle Path neighborhood and rushed to the hospital.

While Drake’s presence at the time of the shooting remains unclear, he is reportedly cooperating with the ongoing investigation. The perpetrator fled the scene, and authorities are searching for them. Witnesses reported the security guard being shot multiple times.

Police have cordoned off the area around the mansion, which Drake acquired in 2015, while they investigate the incident. The injured security guard underwent surgery for serious but non-life-threatening wounds.

Investigators are considering interviewing Drake within the mansion itself. This shooting comes after another incident earlier that night in a different part of the city, though no connection between the two events has been established.

This is not the first time security concerns have arisen around Drake’s property. In March 2021, a woman was arrested for allegedly attacking a security guard with a knife outside the mansion. The investigation continues, with the suspect still at large.
